Winevizer connects to your POS system so that your wine list stays aligned with what you actually have in stock: prices and quantities are synchronised, and an out-of-stock wine can be automatically deactivated from the customer-facing list. Integrations with Lightspeed Retail, Zelty and l’Addition, and with 30 additional POS systems through the HubRise connector. Setup is supported by our technical team during deployment.

Why connect your POS system to your wine list

As long as the POS system and the wine list live in two separate worlds, you pay a hidden cost: the time your team spends removing a sold-out wine from the list, the orders taken in the meantime on unavailable items, and the gaps between what is invoiced and what is counted in the cellar at the end of the month. A POS integration reduces this double entry:

  • Synchronised catalogue: products, references, prices and quantities are exchanged between your POS system and Winevizer, with a synchronisation button to keep both sides consistent.
  • Out-of-stock wines deactivated automatically: when the quantity of a wine falls to zero, it can be hidden from the customer-facing list and from the virtual sommelier, with no action from your team.
  • A single source for prices: a price changed on one side is reflected on the other, which avoids discrepancies between the wine list and the bill.
  • Multi-site management: for multi-location groups, the same logic applies site by site, and the wine list statistics remain available for each venue.

POS systems with a direct integration

Winevizer has a direct integration with three POS systems from the restaurant market, with no intermediate connector:

  • Lightspeed Retail: integration through an OAuth access token, to synchronise the catalogue, prices and quantities.
  • Zelty: French iPad POS system, used from restaurants to wine bars. Synchronisation of the catalogue, prices and quantities.
  • l’Addition: French POS system widely used in bistronomy and brasseries. Synchronisation of the catalogue, prices and quantities.

POS systems compatible through the HubRise connector

For the other POS systems on the market, Winevizer integrates through HubRise, the restaurant middleware in France and Belgium. A single HubRise integration gives you access to more than 30 additional POS systems, including:

  • Cashpad: iPad POS system for bistros and brasseries
  • Sumup POS (including Tiller): POS system for small shops and restaurants
  • Hiboutik: POS system aimed at wine merchants, shops and small restaurants
  • Innovorder: POS system specialised in fast food and chains
  • JDC Solutions: French publisher of POS systems for cafés, hotels and restaurants
  • Pi Electronique: French POS system
  • Clyo Systems: POS system for hotels and multi-location restaurants
  • Square: international POS system available in France
  • And about twenty other POS systems

The HubRise subscription is at your expense; in return, you keep the freedom to change POS system in the future without losing your Winevizer integration.

How the integration works

Technical side

Winevizer exchanges products, references, prices and quantities with your POS system, as import or export, with a Synchronise button. If the available quantity of a wine falls to zero, you can automatically deactivate it from the digital wine list.

Day-to-day use

Once the integration is in place, the sommelier no longer has to remove sold-out wines by hand, and the manager no longer has to cross-check prices and quantities between the POS system and the cellar at the end of service.

Setup

The integration is not a self-service setting: it is a setup supported by our technical team during the Winevizer deployment. Allow 1 to 2 hours of configuration shared between your POS administrator and one of our engineers.

Which venues it suits

The value of a POS integration varies with your profile:

  • Independent restaurant with a modest cellar. The integration is useful but not essential: tracking sold-out wines manually remains quick.
  • Wine bar, brasserie, hotel with fast turnover. High value: automatically deactivating an out-of-stock wine avoids unannounced stock-outs that annoy guests.
  • Multi-location group, hotel chain. Valuable: keeping the cellar, the wine list and the POS system consistent across several sites is hard to do by hand.

Test the integration on your POS system

Tell us which POS system you currently use. If it is on the compatible list (direct or through HubRise), we schedule the integration as soon as your free trial is deployed. If it is not listed, tell us anyway: we assess case by case the feasibility of an integration for POS systems with a public API.
