Do you use Lightspeed Retail as your main POS system and want to digitize your wine list without breaking your tech stack? Winevizer connects to Lightspeed Retail: prices and quantities are synchronized between your POS and the guest-facing wine list, a wine that is out of stock can be deactivated automatically, and the virtual sommelier does not suggest a reference you have removed from the list.

Why connect Lightspeed Retail to Winevizer

Lightspeed Retail is a POS and inventory management tool used by many venues, notably wine bars and businesses that combine dining with takeaway sales. Winevizer connects to it with an OAuth access token.

The integration spares you double entry between the cellar, the POS and the wine list, and reduces the number of unavailable references offered to your guests by mistake.

What the integration brings in practice

  • Automatic deactivation of out-of-stock wines: when the quantity of a wine drops to zero, it can be hidden from the guest wine list and the printable PDF, with no human intervention.
  • Synchronized catalog: products, references, prices and quantities are exchanged between Lightspeed Retail and Winevizer, as an import or an export, with a Synchronize button.
  • A more accurate wine list: your guests are less likely to see a reference on the digital list that is no longer available, and the virtual sommelier does not recommend a wine you have deactivated.
  • Multi-site management: for groups, the same logic applies site by site, with wine list statistics available for each venue.

How the integration works technically

The integration uses OAuth authentication: you authorize Winevizer to access your Lightspeed Retail account, then the catalog (products, references, prices, quantities) is synchronized with your wine list. Synchronization is started from Winevizer with the Synchronize button.

Setup

The integration is set up when your Winevizer free trial is deployed, with support from our technical team. Plan 1 to 2 hours of shared configuration with your Lightspeed administrator. No development on your side, no third-party engineer to involve.

Typical use cases

  • Wine bar that combines dining and takeaway bottle sales
  • Hotel-restaurant with several beverage points of sale sharing part of the cellar
  • Venue with a wine-by-the-glass program, where an opened bottle is finished quickly
  • Restaurant group using the same POS across several sites
